Jeanne Thieme Artist Talk
Tuesday, June 23
2:00pm - 3:00pm
Peterborough Town Library
Eben Jones Classroom, 1833 RoomJoin local artist, Jeanne Maguire Thieme, for an artist talk and demonstration.
Keep the Vision 2026, a collection watermedia paintings in acrylic and watercolor by local artist Jeanne Maguire Thieme, is on view in the library's Community Art Gallery from Friday, June 5th through the end of July.
In the exhibit, Thieme explores the beauty of the natural world and the quiet power of observation. Trusting the movement of water and pigment, she allows abstract patterns to emerge organically across the paper. Incorporating acrylics into her practice adds further depth and energy to her compositions.
“I paint my passions,” says Thieme. “Hiking, farm life, exploring our delicate environment on horseback - all diving boards into my work. As an active member of a land trust I see the encroachment of 'progress' on our lands and wildlife. If my work can remind us of the beauty and importance of protecting what we love I will be comforted that I have been a part of a solution.”
This program is free and open to all. Please note that library parking is not guaranteed. Patrons who are able are encouraged to take advantage of Peterborough’s walkable downtown by parking in the Depot Square or Riverwalk lots.
