Peggy is a retired middle school teacher from the ConVal District who has lived in Peterborough for the past 23 years. She became an active library user after completing her volunteer work with the 1833 Society, who raised the funds for the library renovation. One of her favorite summertime memories was a weekly bike ride to her local town library to check out a basket full of books.

Alternates to the Board: (to be appointed May 2023)

Kristen Ramey

Kristen Ramey has been a life-long library user. Some of her favorite childhood memories were attending the library summer reading programs in her hometown of Amesbury, MA. A graduate of Bridgewater State University, Kristen spent a couple years volunteering with refugees and the homeless in Stone Mountain Georgia and at a school in Tamil Nadu, India. While working on her Masters degrees in Social Work and Public Health at Boston University, Kristen continued to seek out her local library and use the resources at Brookline Public Library. A resident of Peterborough for 10 years, Kristen is passionate about everyone’s right to read, and the collaborative roles public libraries play with public schools in developing literacy in children and adults.

Eric McCall

Eric and his family moved in 2007 to Peterborough from the Bay Area. Echoing his own childhood, his sons used the library frequently as they grew up and graduated from the ConVal district. Throughout this time, he worked in technical and management roles at various software companies. These experiences have reinforced his view that a public library is an essential part of a vibrant community.
