Tuesday, July 14
3:00pm - 4:00pm
Peterborough Town Library
1833 RoomFrom Coconut Cleaners to Banana Leaf Art!
In this engaging family hourlong experience, we will learn how plants are transformed into art, used for cleaning, turned into other delicious foods, repurposed and more!
Discover the creative and surprising ways different cultures use plants: bamboo carrying poles, coconuts floor scrubbers, gourd musical instruments, calabash stamps and more.
This hands-on experience draws from the Mariposa's collection of artifacts from around the world.
This program is funded by the Friends of the Peterborough Town Library who annually support our entire Summer Reading Program!
Thank you Friends!
