Free gentle morning yoga class. Made possible by The River Center.
Join us for the fall/winter 2025 session of Morning Yoga, with instructor, Karen McAuliffe! Karen teaches a gentle yoga class designed for all abilities. This class will start with breath-work and stretching to warm up the body, followed by a series of yoga poses that can be done seated or standing. Concentration will be given to proper form as we build on our practice, always incorporating breath-work into our practice to encourage the mind and body to relax. Yoga is extremely beneficial and can improve circulation, increase strength, and encourage greater mobility. All are welcome!
Monday Morning Yoga is brought to the library in partnership with The River Center. This program is free and open to all, however, donations to the River Center are greatly appreciated to offset costs. Click here to learn more about the River Center.
About the Instructor:
Karen McAuliffe retired from Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center managing the Transfusion Medicine Research Center and is new to Peterborough. "I have always believed that "bodies in motion stay in motion". Likewise, I have always done some form of physical fitness. If your body isn't in motion, it will lose muscle tone and strength, thereby not protecting you from injury. As we age, it is even more important to stay active. You can always find me on the rail trail walking my dog or exploring the beautiful town of Peterborough."
Click to register for other upcoming sessions: It is imperative to register due to limited space, but more importantly if there are cancellations you will be notified.
Please note that library parking is not guaranteed. Patrons who are able are encouraged to take advantage of Peterborough’s walkable downtown by parking in the Depot Square or Riverwalk lots.
Peterborough Town Library, located downtown at the corner of Main and Concord/Rt 202, has a large meeting room, study rooms, classroom, and a board room available to the public.
