Babies and their caregivers gather to sing songs, chant nursery rhymes, read board books and enjoy lap bounces.
Babies from birth and beyond are welcome—only when children are ready to sit and listen to longer stories have they outgrown baby storytime!
Baby Storytime meets outside on the Library River Terrace if the weather is nice and under the tree in the Elizabeth Room if it is not.
Storytime is more than just developing a love of stories.
By attending, children become more comfortable and excited about visiting the library.
We encourage early reading habits for the whole family and strive to give parents the tools they need to help their children learn and discover.
We also stress the importance of fine motor skills and physical development.
We invite all families to join us while we ‘Talk, Read, Sing and Play—Every Day!’
