1833 RoomGo "shopping" in the 1833 Room for new craft supplies during the Swap open hours: Friday, May 23 from 2:00pm-6:00pm and Saturday, May 24 from 9:00am-3:00pm!
Bring your gently used or extra art supplies, like paints, paper, yarn, beads, brushes, fabric, or craft kits, and exchange them for new-to-you treasures! Refresh your supplies without spending a dime - the perfect way to declutter, share, and get inspired by your community!
Drop offs:
Please drop off items at the Help Desk only during the following times and make sure donations are clean and usable. Please note: library staff may turn away items that do not meet swap guidelines and/ or are delivered outside of drop off times.
- Thursday, May 22 from 3:00pm-6:00pm
- Friday, May 23 from 10:00am-12:00pm
Swap Guidelines:
Please check that items are free of bugs, rodent droppings, mold, and mildew. Items must be odor-free (nothing stored in mothballs).
Items We Cannot Accept:
- Sewing machines
- House paint and stain
- Items that are dirty or broken
- Dried paint & dirty/ worn paintbrushes
- Anything broken or needing significant repair
- Anything that requires more than one person to carry
- Unfinished projects
- Anything flammable, toxic, hazardous, or otherwise dangerous for staff and patrons
If you are donating yarn or embroidery floss, please try your best to untangle it.
Fabric must be larger than 10" x 10" - please no scraps.
Donations should be gently used, meaning they are in good shape and can be reused by someone else.
Please note that library parking is not guaranteed. Patrons who are able are encouraged to take advantage of Peterborough’s walkable downtown by parking in the Depot Square or Riverwalk lots.
Peterborough Town Library
Peterborough Town Library, located downtown at the corner of Main and Concord/Rt 202, has a large meeting room, study rooms, classroom, and a board room available to the public.
