The art of Erin Sweeney will be celebrated in the new Community Gallery.
Erin Sweeney is an award-winning artist from Peterborough, NH. She is the creator of the Art Table Project, which provided free art project kits accessible by curbside pick-up at the end of her driveway during the pandemic. In partnership with PTL, she gave out over 2,000 kits in 2020/2021 at the temporary library location. In 2021, NH Art Educator's Association selected her for as the recipient of the Outstanding Service Award.
Sweeney’s exhibit will feature her independent art, including book sculpture and an interactive component.
Sweeney received her MFA in Book Arts and Printmaking from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where she was awarded the Elizabeth C. Roberts Prize for Graduate Book Arts.
Peterborough Town Library, located downtown at the corner of Main and Concord/Rt 202, has a large meeting room, study rooms, classroom, and a board room available to the public.
