Learn about the cost of plastic grocery bags to the environment, municipal budgets, and human health. Co-sponsored with the Peterborough Recycling Center Advisory Committee.
What do microplastics, your trip to the grocery store, and landfill leaks have in common–and what can you possibly do about them? Learn about protections you can take at home and in your community to slow down the plastics that are flooding our lives.
PLASTICS: WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW, WHAT YOU CAN DO is a presentation that was created by a plastics engineer, a cardiologist, a biologist specializing in toxicology and water, a Professor of Health and Human Sciences, and other members of the Plastics Working Group of NH Network; a coalition of people working in 61 NH towns and cities to reduce plastic waste and pollution.
