Join us for a cookbook club-meets-potluck at Peterborough Town Library!
This month we're cooking with spice - specifically sweet paprika!
Stop by the Help Desk to pick up your spice sample and get cooking! Feel free to experiment with other types of paprika, too!
Sweet paprika has a sweet pepper flavor, without any heat. If a recipe doesn't specify the type of paprika, use this kind. Paprika is a popular seasoning in many cuisines. Its bright color makes it an excellent garnish for savory foods. It is frequently used in the cooking of Spain, Mexico, and the countries of the Balkan Peninsula.
How does it work?
The Dinner Club gathers on the second Thursday of the month in the Eben Jones Classroom or on the library terrace (weather permitting). Each month will feature a different cooking theme or cookbook. New members are always welcome to attend, but registration is required so that we know how many to expect.
Plates, bowls, napkins, basic utensils, sparkling water and green tea are provided. Please bring your own serving ware and trivets (if needed). For more information please email Rebecca at renman@peterboroughnh.gov
This program is free and open to all. Please note that library parking is not guaranteed and Thursday evenings are a busy night at the library. Patrons who are able are encouraged to take advantage of Peterborough’s walkable downtown by parking in the Depot Square or Riverwalk lots.
Peterborough Town Library, located downtown at the corner of Main and Concord/Rt 202, has a large meeting room, study rooms, classroom, and a board room available to the public.
