Building Artistic Community at MAXT
You Can Make It Here: Building Artistic Community at MAXT will be on view Friday December 5 through Wednesday, December 31 at Peterborough Town Library.
MAXT Makerspace is committed to making arts and technology available to everyone in our Monadnock community. This exhibition features work from a diverse range of artists and makers, who were able to learn, create and grow at the makerspace. Step into a world of creativity including works in a wide range of media from textiles to glass, printmaking to animation - all created during MAXT programs.
This exhibition features first and foremost young makers in the community. With works from the Mini Makers program for elementary aged children, through Junior Creatives for middle aged students. MAXT is proud to show some of the work from Young Creatives, a bright group of artists breaking out on their own through MAXT’s high school aged program. From work in progress from our current intake to final pieces from the inaugural spring session. MAXT has made making accessible to those with differing abilities through a program with Monadnock Worksource. We are excited to show some of this joy filled work from this section of our community who thrive on access to the arts.
Finally a small selection of attendees from our adult programs have volunteered their work for display. These are all pieces created by first time artists in this media and are presented as a celebration of life long learning.
MAXT hopes to inspire you to create, experiment and learn and maybe even come and make with us. Whoever you are - You Can Make It Here.

The PTL Community Art Gallery is a regional public art space which provides exhibition opportunities for students, emerging artists, and the community. We work to create positive experiences that promote learning and growth for artists, and develop meaningful connections between the artist and the community.
Peterborough Town Library, located downtown at the corner of Main and Concord/Rt 202, has a large meeting room, study rooms, classroom, and a board room available to the public.
