A Group Show by the Prism Painters
Winterlude: A Group Show by The Prism Painters, will be on view in the Peterborough Town Library’s Community Art Gallery from Friday, December 6th through Thursday, January 2nd.
A reception will be held on First Friday, December 6th from 4-6pm during Peterborough’s Hometown Holiday Weekend.
The Prism Painters evolved from a group of students who took years of classes taught by Frankie Brackley Tolman. She encouraged each painter to develop their own specific style through experimentation and dedication to their own vision. As a result, The Prism Painters exhibit many different painting styles but are united by their expression of emotions over literal representation in their artwork.
The Prism Painters include Carol Doleac, Frankie Brackley Tolman, Kit Fairchild, Janet Hymowitz, Mary Wood Cornog, Nancy Roberts O'Neill, Roberta Woolfson, and Sally Shonk.
Peterborough Town Library, located downtown at the corner of Main and Concord/Rt 202, has a large meeting room, study rooms, classroom, and a board room available to the public.
