Big Kid Storytime is for kids who are in kindergarten and elementary school.
We read fairy/folktales, funny books, and longer stories, and work on a more advanced craft or STEAM activity each session.
This fall at Big Kid Storytime we will meet outside when it's not raining, so dress warmly, bring a blanket, and please wear a mask.
We will then move into the Eben Jones Classroom for the craft/activity in shifts so as not to overcrowd the room.
If it rains we will move inside the library to the largest space available.
Storytime is more than just developing a love of stories.
By attending, children become more comfortable and excited about visiting the library.
We encourage early reading habits for the whole family and strive to give parents the tools they need to help their children learn and discover.
We also stress the importance of fine motor skills and physical development.
We invite all families to join us while we ‘Talk, Read, Sing and Play—Every Day!’
Peterborough Town Library, located downtown at the corner of Main and Concord/Rt 202, has a large meeting room, study rooms, classroom, and a board room available to the public.
