About Jill McLean:
Jill was first introduced to yoga through meditation in her teenage years and eventually found her way to the asana side of yoga. Throughout her life, her yoga practice has been a grounding staple to come back to again and again.
In 2015, Jill completed her first 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Sonic Yoga in Hells Kitchen, NYC under the guidance of Lauren Hanna, Tracy Mohr, Johanna Bell, and Jeffrey Duval. From there, she went on to study with Deb Flashenberg at the Prenatal Yoga Center in NYC, completing her 85hr PRYT, and most recently, completing her 300-Hour YTT with Prema Yoga Institute, NYC. Jill has also participated in courses in Ayurveda and takes an ayurvedic approach to teaching and living.
Jill encourages her students to listen to their own bodies and do what feels right, not just follow along. Her classes are mostly vinyasa style which she thoughtfully sequences and usually themes. Outside of yoga, Jill spends her time raising her three kids and two dogs, and though she is a New Yorker at heart, she loves hiking, living, and breathing in the Monadnock Region.
Peterborough Town Library, located downtown at the corner of Main and Concord/Rt 202, has a large meeting room, study rooms, classroom, and a board room available to the public.
