The Safe Sitter Essentials program is designed for students to learn to be safe when they're home alone, watching younger siblings or babysitting. During this one 6 hour babysitter training we will cover the essentials of staying safe at home, outside, away from home and online. We will learn basic first aid, what to do if someone is choking, how to get help in an emergency, and general principles of business including how talk about money and accept payment in an appropriate and professional way. Class is limited to 10 students per session.
The course is free, however the RiverCenter is asking for a fee of $20 per participant for the book and material cost. All students should bring a sack lunch and water bottle for class and they will leave with a Safe Sitter Certificate of Completion.
