Peterborough Plus unit of LWV invites you to a “Civics 101” event where you can meet with a number of our New Hampshire legislators to find out their activities on current bills.
It’s high season in the New Hampshire state legislature. There are several hundred bills on everything from school funding to regulating cannabis. There’s even a bill calling for our state representatives to be paid in silver coins. The League of Women Voters doesn’t think this one will pass.
PeterboroughPlus unit of LWVNH invites you to a “Civics 101” event where you can meet with a number of our New Hampshire legislators to find out their activities on these bills. What committees are they sitting on? What bills have they sponsored? What bills have they heard or acted on? What do they think is the state of things going forward, in their branch of government? Importantly, what are you, their constituent, concerned or passionate about and how will they represent you?
We will have State Representatives from several towns, and at least one State Senator and Executive Councilor.
League of Women Voters is a non-partisan political organization, open to all, male or female, 16 years of age or older. https://lwvnh.org/events/
