This is an informal group for basic/intermediate Spanish speakers to practice their language skills.
This is not intended for those brand new to Spanish. It's meant to be a conversation group that can develop and gel as you work on mastering the language. The library will support the group with additional resources as we identify the best learning path.
All ages are certainly welcome--for example, students studying Spanish in school may want to attend. We also welcome fluent/native speakers who may want to attend and assist those who are learning.
John Leary will lead the group. John Leary is a retired high school Spanish teacher from Maryland. He has led numerous Habitat for Humanity teams to Latin America and has travelled extensively in that region. John currently volunteers as a Spanish language interpreter for the Kids in Need of Defense.
Peterborough Town Library, located downtown at the corner of Main and Concord/Rt 202, has a large meeting room, study rooms, classroom, and a board room available to the public.
