An exploration of what it means to read poetry.
Discovering How Much YOU'VE Already Noticed - A Poetry Reading Adventure
Poetry enters both immediately and very very slowly – both consciously and intravenously. Finding one’s own way in to a poem can be surprising and rewarding.
Rebecca will read from her most recent book of poems, Girl as Birch. Then, together, the people gathered will explore their own individual ways to see, hear and experience what they’ve noticed.
Whatever field you feel you have some experience in: woodworking, farming, singing, economics, law, grocery work, auto repair, etc. etc. can serve as your way in to a poem. This gathering may give you confidence to trust your own journey.
